Route 12 & North Street Improvements Project

Construction on the Route 12 & North Street Improvements Project begins on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.

This Federally funded project involves reconfiguring the NH 12/North Street intersection and reconstructing, realigning, and widening the respective roadway approaches which total approximately 5,200 feet in length.

The work will include profile improvements on North Street and a stop-controlled intersection where North Street meets NH 12.

Utility adjustments, a new water line, drainage improvements, culvert replacement, soldier pile retaining wall construction, and stormwater management measures will also be included.

At least one lane of traffic will always be open during the construction project.

BUR Construction, based in Newport, NH, is the prime contractor overseeing this project.

The anticipated completion date is Friday, November 14, 2025.
