The Claremont Conservation Commission will present a Zoom program on May 8, 2021 from 11am-12 noon, entitled, "The Effects of Climate Change on New Hampshire’s Birds" by Pamela D. Hunt, Ph.D., Avian Conservation Biologist, NH Audubon. This program is a must for people concerned with climate change and our avian population.

A follow up program for citizen action will be presented by Steven Lamonde, Antioch University, An Introduction to eBird and Merlin on May 15, 2021 at 11 am – 12 noon.  This program allows anyone with a phone or computer to gather information in the form of checklists of birds, identification tools, and freely share it with Cornell Ornithology. Merlin is an easy bird identifier app. People often ask, “What is that bird?”, Merlin gives answers. eBird and Merlin are operated by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. This program is partially funded by the New England Grassroots Environment Fund.
