The Claremont Development Authority (CDA) is seeking proposals from qualified general or painting contractors. Questions concerning this RFP must be made via email per the schedule outlined below. Responses to all submitted questions will be posted at https://www.claremontnh.com/procurement.

Project Background and Description

Recent renovations to tenant spaces on the second floor of the Farwell Block caused flex in the ceiling in the tenant space at 52-54 Opera House Square (OHS) to separate from interior walls. The selected contractor will conduct light carpentry and painting to repair cosmetic cracks along the ceiling as detailed in Attachment A.

Scope of Work

The selected contractor will provide the CDA with professional services to realize the successful implementation of all aspects of this scope. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating work with all sub-contractors, if needed. The list and order of activities outlined below may be amended and finalized with the contractor. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following elements:

• Schedule work in coordination with the tenant to minimize disruption to
• As cosmetic work, no City building permits are required
• Supply all materials to complete work including paints that conform to the tenant’s specifications
• Caulk or conceal cracks crown molding using Attachment A, Schematic Layout of Work, as general guidance
• Clean-up of tools, materials, staging, and waste upon completion of work each day unless by agreement with the tenant

Add Alternate Work

The following task(s) are additional work that CDA considers outside the above scope of work. The following are considered Add Alt Work and shall be listed separately in bids:

ADD ALT #1: Paint tin ceiling of 54 OHS office

ADD ALT #2: Paint tin ceiling of 52 OHS office

ADD ALT #3: Conceal conduit in areas where the conduit is set where the wall meets the ceiling

Proposal Submission Requirements

Provide one (1) proposal clearly marked with the firm’s name on the cover with the wording, “CDA -Carpentry/Painting Services, 52-54 OHS” to the City Manager’s Office, City of Claremont, 58 Opera House Square, Claremont, NH 03743 by 12:00pm on Wednesday, February 23, 2022.
