Consulting Service for Claremont Savings Bank Community Center

The City of Claremont is soliciting Statement of Qualifications from Consultants with community fitness center business experience to complete a detailed operations pro-forma. This pro-forma will be used as a guide for the City’s Parks & Recreation Department as it aims to increase facility membership, revenue, and cost recovery at the Claremont Savings Bank Community Center.

Scope of Work:

  • Review pre-existing CSBCC pro-forma and understand community demographics
  • Review current membership information and financial performance of the facility
  • Analyze CSBCC operations and benchmark with similar facilities in New Hampshire
  • Identify key strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
  • Create a sustainable business model that strengthens operations of the CSBCC facility
  • Forecasts future expenditures and revenue to maximize cost recovery
  • Suggest adjustments in service and programming to create value and promote growth in the membership base

Report Format:

  • Executive Summary
  • Operations Pro-forma
  • SWOT Analysis
  • Forecasted maintenance and operation costs
  • Future service expansion opportunities
  • Conclusion and Appendices

Submission:

Submit a brief Qualification Statement not greater than 10 pages listing company information, staff experience, list of similar projects in rural communities and references. Submissions should include a separately sealed firm fixed fee to complete the project. Fee should include staff hour and task breakdown with reimbursable expenses. Consultants should estimate one on-site meeting with City Staff and 3 subsequent conference calls. The project will consist of a draft report and one final submission.

Qualification Statements are due on Wednesday, February 1st at 4:30 pm and shall be mailed to City Manager’s Office, 58 Opera House Square, Claremont NH 03743 with “Consulting Services for CSBCC” on the envelope. It is anticipated a contract will be signed and the project completed within 90 days. The CONSULTANT will be required to enter into a standard contract with the City of Claremont. The City reserves the right to negotiate with the selected CONSULTANT regarding variation to the original RFP, Contract, and Cost, if deemed to be in the best interest of the City to do so. The City reserves the right to waive any item, which in the opinion of the City is an informality. The City has the right to accept or reject any or all proposals in whole or in part if it is deemed to be in the City’s interest to do so.
