RFP for Sidewalk Projects

The City of Claremont is seeking proposals for sidewalk projects as follows:
 
Bid # 1 Hanover Street – from its intersection with North Street to Disnard School
overlay sidewalk w/asphalt – 2,700 feet. Must mill 1” along curb’s edge and tack coat the entire surface. Required ADA compliance – metal truncated domes set in concrete preferred.
 
Bid # 2 South Street (north side) – from its intersection with Pleasant Street to Baker Street – remove old sidewalk and replace with new 4’ wide 2” thick ½” asphalt sidewalk– 1,325 feet.
Requires ADA compliance – metal truncated domes set in concrete preferred. Must loam and seed.
 
Bid # 3 Added Alternate- South Street (south side)- from its intersection with Pheasant Lane to crosswalk by Henry Street- remove old sidewalk and replace with new 4’ wide 2” thick ½” asphalt sidewalk.
 
This proposal requires the selected firm to:
• Provide one (1) bid for the Hanover Street project, one (1) bid for the South Street (north) project, and one (1) bid for the added alternate- South Street (south) project– see bid forms
• Provide proper traffic control if needed
• Provide pre-notification to the city one week prior to construction
 
Proposals can be delivered or mailed in; and must be received by the CITY no later than 10:00 AM – EST on Monday, March 28, 2022 at which time they will be read publicly. Proposals received after this deadline will not be eligible for consideration.
