2021 Sugar River Construction Project Update
December 29, 2021
A message from Eversource regarding Sugar River Construction Project
As part of our everyday effort to deliver reliable energy to our customers and communities, we routinely maintain and upgrade our infrastructure. These projects improve the reliability of the electric system serving New Hampshire and surrounding areas where we all work and live.
We’re Always Working to Serve You Better
In February of 2021, we notified you of a project at the Sugar River Substation, located on Lafayette Street in Claremont, N.H. This substation upgrade project is designed to strengthen the electric system and ensure that our customers have reliable power to meet their energy needs. This letter serves as an update on the status of that project, and to keep you informed about the construction activities happening in your neighborhood.
What You Can Expect
This substation upgrade project includes the replacement of existing equipment, improving substation security, and increasing overall system reliability in the Claremont area. Eversource and its contractors have been performing construction activities throughout 2021 and anticipate continuing with construction activities in
the Spring of 2022. Please keep in mind that the schedule may change due to weather or other unexpected circumstances. We will keep you informed if there are any major changes to this schedule.
