Claremont Senior Center Newsletter

Hi everyone. Well, what shall we talk about this week. Just to let you know, we are  still here. We are following the news on guidelines now that it looks like the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter.  Believe us, when we are sure we can fully open safely, our door will be opened sooooo fast. We miss all of you.

Let's see what is going on at the Center this week.

Special Thank You: Thank you to everyone who donated at the Blood Drive on Monday. It was greatly  appreciated. We will let you know when the next chance will be to save a life.

Come and get it!!! The kitchen volunteers are ready to serve you the best Italian meal at their Sweetheart Italian Dinner on Sat. Feb. 20th. Take out-4:30pm-5:30pm. Being served for you eating pleasure will be Crisp Salad, Spaghetti in Red Sauce with Meatballs, Garlic Bread and a Special Italian Dessert.

Next week the kitchen volunteers will be right back it. We tell you, they just keep going. Here is the menu for Tuesday and Thursday.

Make you tax preparation appointment by calling 1-802-952-3154. Remember, the Center will not be making the appointments this year. But the nice group of tax preparers will be here to serve you.

Bored? Cabin Fever? Members can call for a time to come in and pick up a book or a puzzle. For those of you who have never put together a puzzle, what have you got to loose? Give it a try. It's quiet, challenging, frustrating and rewarding. There's nothing like putting in the right piece.

Well, we guess that's it for this week. Like we said, we are watching the reports for guideline changes.  Schedule your shots, wear a double mask, distance and call a friend. See you next week. Stay well, stay safe.

Thought of the Week: Aging is not lost youth but a new stage of opportunity and strength.
