Things To Do Area History Claremont Historic Walking Tour Connecticut River Heritage Trail

Welcome to the City of Claremont!

We invite you to drop by the Claremont Visitors Center.  The Center is open Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM. Situated on part of the Old Joy Foundry site at 14 North Street, overlooking the Sugar River and the Historic District Mills, the Visitors Center offers panoramic views of our City. In fact, the Connecticut River Scenic Byway Council has designated the building a Waypoint Interpretive Center.

In addition to spectacular views, the Visitors Center offers information for tourists, as well as those who are considering relocating to the community. Come see freestanding exhibits, photographs and other materials that provide historical and developmental insights to our City, and visually portray Claremont's unique balance of history, growth, and recreation. Come visit us!

Claremont is home to Western New Hampshire's only Amtrak stop. The Vermonter train travels through Claremont twice a day - southbound in the morning and northbound in the evening. The Vermonter gives Claremont area residents a convenient travel option to major destinations, including Springfield and Boston, MA, Connecticut, and New York City.

Claremont Dining Guide is available here.

Taxi service is available in Claremont.

The Greater Claremont Chamber of Commerce is also an important resource for Visitor information and things to do when you are in the City.  They are located in the historic Moody Building in Opera House Square.  For futher information about the Chamber of Commerce, please click Here.
