Claremont Opera House presents, Through Cern's Eyes
The local theatre troupe, World Under Wonder, will perform Through Cern’s Eyes at the Claremont Opera House on March 3rd at 7pm and March 4th at 2pm and 7pm. The play is a modern fairy tale about a girl named Erika who finds her way in a magical realm called “The Other Side”. She meets many beings along the way and tries to help someone named Cern against a mysterious force called “The Blackness”.
Through Cern’s Eyes was written by the Director, Sean Roberts, several years ago and this is the second time this show will see the stage. Though it has been revised by Sean over the years; it still holds to its original teachings of caring for the environment. The show has developed to hold other purposes as well such as sexual identity and religious persecution.
World Under Wonder is a community theatre group using the Claremont Opera House as its main host site. Owned and directed by Sean Edward Roberts, World Under Wonder presents productions with the main goal being to “provide personal growth and windows to creative exploration through the performing arts.” Sean also directs at the Newport Middle High School as their Dramatic Society Coach. The Dramatic Society is currently underway on the production of Treasure Island. Youth between 6th and 12th grades from Newport and surrounding areas may take part in the show. Contact World Under Wonder to get involved in the show.
Sean has many ideas in mind for World Under Wonder over the next year. Hoping to create even stronger ties to the Claremont Opera House and putting on performances for the community. He also plans on creating a series of shadow casted film showings and possibly a summer film production and summer stock plays for youth to take part in.
