PART TIME ASSESSING CLERK
The City of Claremont’s Assessing Office has an opening for a Part-Time Assessing Clerk. The position’s schedule will be 23 hours a week. The Assessing Clerk’s responsibilities will include assisting the public regarding assessing needs, answering telephone calls, screening and answering inquires and issues pertaining to assessing functions and operations of the department, data processing including correspondence, maintaining and updating files and all other administrative functions as required. Interested candidates should have knowledge of assessing functions, process and NH State tax laws, or the enthusiasm to learn. The selected individual must be reliable, posses the ability to communicate well with others. Accuracy and attention to detail is a must. Position pays up to $9.00 hourly. CLAREMONT FIRE DEPARTMENT POSTING OF VACANCY FOR
FULL TIME FIREFIGHTER/EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN
Minimum Criteria:
•Shall be at least 18 years of age.
•Shall not have been convicted of a felony.
•Shall have a state recognized high school diploma or accepted equivalent.
•Shall be current on the NH Division of Fire Standards and Training firefighter entrance exam list or meet the NH career firefighter lateral transfer criteria.
•Shall meet National Fire Protection Association 1582 medical requirements for firefighters (1992 Edition).
•Shall have or acquire within one year of employment the NH Fire Standards and Training Commission certifications for Firefighter II and Career II.
•Shall have or attain within one year of hire National Registry Certification for Emergency Medical Technician Basic.
•Shall have or acquire within 120 days of employment a NH CDL Class B driver’s license with an air brake option.
•Shall reside in the City of Claremont or in a location from which the applicant can report to Fire Headquarters within fifteen (15) minutes, without jeopardizing public safety, within 180 days of employment.
•Shall successfully complete all pre-employment requirements established by the City of Claremont.
