Claremont, NH - The City of Claremont’s Parks and Recreation Department is seeking professional qualified applicants for Superintendent of Recreation Programs position. This position will assist the Director in planning, implementing and directing all programs and department functions related to the recreation program offerings to include the City’s Community Center, Aquatic Facilities, Parks system and its facilities. Coordinates with the Superintendent of Facilities the plans and schedule for programming that impact facilities. Candidates must possess the skills and abilities to manage, supervise, work well independently & with others, multitask, communicate well verbally/orally with staff participants (children – adults), display the ability to make sound judgment decisions, analyze, schedule, and problem solve.
Minimum Requirements: Associates Degree with required major course study in recreations management, programs or public administration coupled with at least 2 years working in Parks & Recreation environment with 2 years experience in recreation program development and two years supervisory experience.
Salary & Benefits: Salary up to $45,022 is commensurable with experience, knowledge, and education. Claremont Parks & Recreation Department is seeking to fill the positions of Swim Instructor for the indoor pool.
Swim Instructors must be proficient swimmers. Since all swimming strokes are taught in class, instructors must be capable of demonstrating all swimming strokes to children of all ages. Other responsibilities include monitoring participant & pool safety and monitoring the locker rooms.

The Claremont Police Dept. is accepting applications and resumes for part time Communication Specialists to answer incoming telephone calls received at the Emergency Dispatch Center for the City of Claremont. Communications Specialists are responsible for dispatching information via radio, telephone and verbally to police, fire, emergency medical services, and other agencies responsible for the delivery of requested or required services. Other responsibilities include maintaining a log of all calls received including the nature of the call, the location of the call, and the applicable response information or data concerning the dispatch of services. Communication Specialists serve as a receptionist at the Claremont Police Dept. as well as performing a variety of clerical duties. The selected candidates must posses the abilities to communicate and interact well, effectively, and efficiently with the public, as well as with other staff and agencies that are responsible for responding to the situation. Selected candidates must also posses the abilities to think and act quickly while remaining calm and calming others, to focus on the immediate situation and act accurately under stressful emergency and non-emergency situations. Individuals must be team players! Part time wage range is $6.50 to $12.00 per hour.
