SEASONAL SWIM INSTRUCTORS – INDOOR POOL
Claremont Parks & Recreation Department is seeking to fill the position(s) of Swim Instructor for the indoor pool.
Swim Instructors must be proficient swimmers. Since all swimming strokes are taught in class, instructors must be capable of demonstrating all swimming strokes to children of all ages. Other responsibilities include monitoring participant & pool safety and monitoring the locker rooms.
Selected candidates must successfully pass pre-employment requirements of a physical, drug screening, and criminal background search.
Hours of work and location of swim instructors may vary depending upon the staffing and seasonal needs of the department.
CERTIFICATIONS:
• American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (or equivalent) Certification required.
• Current certification in Red Cross Lifeguard Training (or equivalent)
• Current certification for American Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuer (or equivalent)

The City of Claremont is currently accepting applications for a seasonal part-time winter swim coach for the Claremont Tiger Sharks. Hours and shifts will vary depending upon the activities and needs of the swim team. Current certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training (or equivalent) and CPR for Professional Rescuer (or equivalent) required. Safety Training for Swim Coaches and ASCA certification preferred. Responsibilities include coaching and training swim team participants, scheduling swim team practices and swim meets, developing swim team participants swimming skills and swimming strokes…must enjoy working with children of different age levels and backgrounds and must enjoy having fun!!
