The City of Claremont, Department of Public Works has a part time position in the Water/Sewer Division for a Water/Sewer Bookkeeper. This position will report to the Public Works Director and/or Office Manager. The person in this position performs highly responsible bookkeeping and clerical duties requiring a fairly high degree of conformance with policy and regulations. Work involves maintenance of water/sewer accounts, processing of financial documents, receipt and accounting for moneys, and preparing reconciliations as well as administrative and clerical work.

Preferably, the successful candidate will have completed a two-year program in a business curriculum, and should have successfully completed additional studies in bookkeeping plus three years of experience in an office where bookkeeping and record keeping played a significant role; an associate's degree in business or accounting preferred. The City of Claremont is accepting applications for part-time call fire fighters. Call fire fighters are responsible for responding to emergencies situations and are paid hourly in an annual stipend according to their attendance. Interested applicants must be in good physical condition applicable to fire fighting.

valid New Hampshire Driver’s license

must reside within 15 minutes of the fire station

Claremont Savings Bank Community Center (CSBCC) has an immediate opening for a Head Swim Coach for the Claremont Tiger Sharks to take our program to the next level. Our new Community Center is home to an 8-lane, 25-yard pool with an additional warm water therapy/lesson pool. We are looking for a passionate coach who is ready to lead our growing program. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: roster management, running practice for workout groups, writing practices, developing training plans and goals, attending coaches; meetings, communicating with parents/conduct parent meetings, some basic facility management/aquatics responsibilities, and working with professional staff as needed to develop additional programming or revenue areas. The ideal candidate will be willing to inspire our swimmers to achieve their full potential. We want our coaching staff to display strong character, integrity, and promote a positive environment. Salary will be commensurate based on experience; additional income opportunities are available for motivated candidates.

The City of Claremont is seeking an experienced minute taker for our Boards and Commission meetings. These meetings can be held during the day and some evenings. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft applications, minute taking, strong administrative skills, and ability to translate notes from any meeting into submissable documents within 5 days of meeting date.

Parks & Recreation Department is seeking to fill the position(s) of Lifeguards. Life guarding responsibilities include monitoring participant's safety in the pool, maintenance of the pool, pool area, and locker rooms, maintaining records of pool usage, chemical testing and maintaining proper water balances in the pool.
The successful candidate must be a proficient swimmer. Prior lifeguard experience preferred but will train qualified individuals. The selected candidate must successfully pass pre-employment requirements of a physical, drug screening, and criminal background search.
Wages start at $7.25 per hour through $12.00 depending upon experience. Hours of work may vary depending upon the staffing needs of the department.
