CUSTOMER SERVICE DESK RECREATION LEADER


The Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a welcoming, friendly face and voice at our busy recreation office. You will coordinate and perform a variety of basic and skilled bookkeeping, administrative, and clerical support functions in the work of serving recreation customers and supporting our staff to deliver quality community services. This is a part time clerical union position with an average of 20 to 30 hours per week. Weekly hours will vary and will include some nights and weekends. The selected candidate will need to be able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate the program/seasonal/special event needs and departmental needs.

Duties will include answering phones, tending to walk in&S217;s, payables, receivables, drafting documents, filing, organizing, coordinating, ordering, and assisting. Must be confident in technological aptitude, able to learn new software and use a variety of office applications. Candidates should have strong written and oral communication skills and a desire to work with and serve the public.

Wages are up to $15.90 per hour depending upon experience, knowledge, and qualifications. This is enhanced with part-time paid vacation and part-time paid holidays. Interested candidates should apply to the:

PUBLIC WORKS -- MECHANIC (Waste Water)


The City of Claremont has a full time position for an equipment mechanic. This position requires ability to do preventative maintenance, diagnoses problems and make necessary repairs to all City equipment (large and small/both fixed and rolling stock), as required. Highly skilled welding and fabrication duties are required at multiple levels, changing of heavy equipment tires, track repairs, electric generator servicing, hydraulic repairs, snow plow repairs, pumps, motors, breaks systems (both mechanical and air), New Hampshire vehicle inspections, etc. Other duties will be assigned on a daily basis. The job will also require the successful applicant to do everyday activities within the Waste Water Division including pump station maintenance.

Personal Mechanics tools are required for this position, ability to work by one-self in a safe and efficient manner, while under the general direction of the shop foreman.

PART TIME SWIM COACH

Claremont Savings Bank Community Center (CSBCC) has an immediate opening for a Head Swim Coach for the Claremont Tiger Sharks to take our program to the next level. Our new Community Center is home to an 8-lane, 25-yard pool with an additional warm water therapy/lesson pool. We are looking for a passionate coach who is ready to lead our growing program. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: roster management, running practice for workout groups, writing practices, developing training plans and goals, attending coaches&S217; meetings, communicating with parents/conduct parent meetings, some basic facility management/aquatics responsibilities, and working with professional staff as needed to develop additional programming or revenue areas. The ideal candidate will be willing to inspire our swimmers to achieve their full potential. We want our coaching staff to display strong character, integrity, and promote a positive environment. LIFEGUARDS

Parks & Recreation Department is seeking to fill the position(s) of Lifeguards. Life guarding responsibilities include monitoring participant's safety in the pool, maintenance of the pool, pool area, and locker rooms, maintaining records of pool usage, chemical testing and maintaining proper water balances in the pool.

The successful candidate must be a proficient swimmer. Prior lifeguard experience preferred but will train qualified individuals. The selected candidate must successfully pass pre-employment requirements of a physical, drug screening, and criminal background search.

Wages start at $7.25 per hour through $12.00 depending upon experience. Hours of work may vary depending upon the staffing needs of the department.

CERTIFICATIONS:
    • American Red Cross Lifeguard Training (or equivalent)
    • CPR for the Professional Rescuer
