The Claremont Police Dept. is looking for full/part time Communication Specialists. Communications Specialists are responsible for answering emergency and non-emergency phone calls and dispatching information via radio to police, fire, emergency medical services, and other emergency services. Other responsibilities include maintaining a log of all calls received including the nature of the call, location, and applicable response information. Communication Specialists serve as receptionists at the Claremont Police Dept. as well as performing a variety of clerical duties. The selected candidates must posses the abilities to communicate and interact well, effectively, and efficiently with the public, as well as with other staff and agencies that are responsible for responding to the situation. Selected candidates must also posses the abilities to think and act quickly while remaining calm and calming others, to focus on the immediate situation and act accurately under stressful emergency and non-emergency situations. Individuals must be team players with strong communications, computer and keyboarding skills!
Full time wage starts at $16.25 per hour
Part time wage range is $7.25 to $14.00 per hour.

The Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a year round, full-time parks maintenance worker who supervises and cares for the maintenance of grounds, sports fields, buildings, trails and equipment at City Park facilities. Knowledge of the operation and preventative maintenance of equipment and other related tools used in the maintenance of City parks, property and athletic facilities are required. This position is responsible for providing maintenance for all of the Claremont parks, trails, fields and facilities to ensure community satisfaction and safety.

Parks & Recreation Department is seeking to fill the position(s) of Lifeguards. Life guarding responsibilities include monitoring participant's safety in the pool, maintenance of the pool, pool area, and locker rooms, maintaining records of pool usage, chemical testing and maintaining proper water balances in the pool.
