PART TIME Swim COach

Claremont Savings Bank Community Center (CSBCC) has an immediate opening for a Head Swim Coach for the Claremont Tiger Sharks to take our program to the next level. Our new Community Center is home to an 8-lane, 25-yard pool with an additional warm water therapy/lesson pool. We are looking for a passionate coach who is ready to lead our growing program. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: roster management, running practice for workout groups, writing practices, developing training plans and goals, attending coaches’ meetings, communicating with parents/conduct parent meetings, some basic facility management/aquatics responsibilities, and working with professional staff as needed to develop additional programming or revenue areas. The ideal candidate will be willing to inspire our swimmers to achieve their full potential. We want our coaching staff to display strong character, integrity, and promote a positive environment. Salary will be commensurate based on experience; additional income opportunities are available for motivated candidates.

COMMUNICATION SPECIALISTS PART TIME & FULL TIME

The Claremont Police Dept. is looking for one full time Communication Specialist and part time Communication Specialists to answer incoming telephone calls received at the Emergency Dispatch Center for the City of Claremont.  Communications Specialists are responsible for dispatching information via radio, telephone and verbally to police, fire, emergency medical services, and other agencies responsible for the delivery of requested or required services. Other responsibilities include maintaining a log of all calls received including the nature of the call, the location of the call, and the applicable response information or data concerning the dispatch of services. Communication Specialists serve as a receptionist at the Claremont Police Dept. as well as performing a variety of clerical duties. The selected candidates must posses the abilities to communicate and interact well, effectively, and efficiently with the public, as well as with other staff and agencies that are responsible for responding to the situation. Selected candidates must also posses the abilities to think and act quickly while remaining calm and calming others, to focus on the immediate situation and act accurately under stressful emergency and non-emergency situations. Individuals must be team players with strong communications and computer skills! 

Full time wage starts at $15.62 per hour

Part time wage range is $7.25 to $14.00 per hour.

Minute Taker for Boards and commissions

The City of Claremont is seeking an experienced minute taker for our Boards and Commission meetings. These meetings can be held during the day and some evenings. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft applications, minute taking, strong administrative skills, and ability to translate notes from any meeting into submissable documents within 5 days of meeting date.

 LIFEGUARDS

Parks & Recreation Department is seeking to fill the position(s) of Lifeguards. Life guarding responsibilities include monitoring participant's safety in the pool, maintenance of the pool, pool area, and locker rooms, maintaining records of pool usage, chemical testing and maintaining proper water balances in the pool.

The successful candidate must be a proficient swimmer. Prior lifeguard experience preferred but will train qualified individuals. The selected candidate must successfully pass pre-employment requirements of a physical, drug screening, and criminal background search.

Wages start at $7.25 per hour through $12.00 depending upon experience. Hours of work may vary depending upon the staffing needs of the department.

CERTIFICATIONS:
    • American Red Cross Lifeguard Training (or equivalent)
    • CPR for the Professional Rescuer
