Building Demolition

The City of Claremont invites sealed bids for the complete demolition of 139 Main Street and the common wall to 147 Main street, Claremont, NH. As part of a separate contract, the owner of 147 Main Street will install structural shoring and/or bracing for its building prior to commencement of demolition. Once the reconstruction of the 147 Main Street foundation wall is complete, the job will include filling, grading, and loaming and seeding. The project is funded, in part, through a Community Development Block Grant from the Community Development Finance Authority under the provisions of and subject to the requirements of Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. Bids must be received no later than 11:30 AM on Friday, July 10th 2020 at the City Manager’s Office, 58 Opera House Square, Claremont, NH 03743, where they will be opened and read aloud.  Bids must be clearly marked “139 Main Street & Common Wall Demolition”.

Building Shoring and Improvements

New England Family Housing invites sealed bids for renovation and reconstruction of 143-147 Main Street, Claremont, NH. The work will consist of two parts – first, bracing and shoring the structure in accordance with engineer’s plans. Once shoring is in place, the City of Claremont, as part of a separate project, will oversee the demolition of the adjacent structure at 139 Main Street. The second part of the work involves reconstruction of a new exterior wall, followed by additional upgrades throughout the entirety of the building. The project is funded through a Community Development Block Grant from the Community Development Finance Authority under the provisions of and subject to the requirements of Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. Sealed bids for the Renovation of the 143-147 Main Street Apartment building will be received at this location until 11:00 AM Prevailing Time on July 10, 2020. No late bids, telephone, faxed, or emailed bids will be accepted. On that same day all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Engineering Services

Sugar River Cooperative, a Resident Owned Community of 24 homes in Claremont, NH with a private water system requests a engineering proposal from qualified firms for a Community Development Block Grant feasibility project. The funds will finance a property condition report, development of preliminary infrastructure design, and main project cost estimates for the entire project. Respondents should also have knowledge of other government infrastructure funding sources. The budget for this is $21,500. The full RFQ  can be accessed here.
