  • FIRST FRIDAYS AT THE MUSEUM - THE 12TH NH REGIMENT SERENADE BAND
    The 12th NH Regiment Serenade Band will perform on the lawn of the Claremont History Museum, 26 Mulberry Street, Claremont, NH at 6:30 pm on Friday, August 3. Visitors are encouraged to bring folding chairs. Admission is by donation. The 12th NH Regiment Serenade Band is a re-creation of a small all-brass band that would have actually been part of a Civil War Regiment. Performances feature actual instruments and music from the time period. Much of the music is drawn from New Hampshire bands that served during the war. - More

  • LOLLIPOP CARNIVAL
    The popular annual Lollipop Carnival will be held on Friday, August 10th, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Veteran’s Park. Booth games, prizes, cake walk, pie-eating contest, rides and more. Sign up to be the new Lollipop King or Queen! Remember your money to purchase lollipops: 10 lollipops for $1. Please bring a bag for your prizes. - More
  • P.M. PADDLE EXCURSIONS
    P.M. Paddle Excursions continue through August 1st. Bring your family or come on your own as we explore the many lakes and ponds in our area. All kayaking levels/experiences are welcome. Participants can meet at the GCC and ride the Parks and Rec bus or meet at the lake/pond for trips. Bus leaves at 4:30 pm. Kayaks, paddles and PFD’s provided as needed. Be sure to pack water and snacks. Minimum age of participants is 8 years old. Any child ages 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Fee: $5/Resident; $15/Non-resident. Remaining trips: July 11th, May Pond, Pillsbury SP, Washington, NH; July 25th, Lake Ninevah, Mount Holly, VT; August 1st, Grafton Pond, Grafton, NH. - More

    The American Band series in Broad Street Park, Thursday nights, continues until August 16th; performances run from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. - More
  • KICKBALL GAME FOR GROWNUPS
    A Kickball Game For Grownups will be held at Veteran’s Park on Saturday, July 28th, beginning at 1:00 p.m.; registration deadline, July 25th in person at the GCC. Fee to enter: $5. Two teams will be made on the day of the game with the registered members; teams will be random. Those who pre-register at the GCC can request one "buddy" to be on their team. Those who register on game day will "get what they get and not throw a fit." A game set entirely for fun. Grilling and other foods as well as water will be provided. - More

  • MONDAY MORNING CHILDREN'S SUMMER THEATER
    Beginning at 10am, Monday mornings through August 20 five professional adult actors from NCCA’s (North Country Center for the Arts) Children’s Theatre Company perform original musical adaptations of popular fairy and folk tales on the historic stage of the Claremont Opera House. These shows appeal to adults and children ages 3 and up and run about 30 minutes. The performances finish with a cast meet and greet with autograph signing and picture taking immediately following the performance. Tickets are $6 (includes a .50 COH preservation fee) and can be purchased at the door the day of the show at the Claremont opera house. Seating is general admission.
