City of Claremont

Financial Programs

Financial programs are sometimes available for business development in concert with the federal government, Claremont Development Authority (CDA) and our county finance partner, Capital Resource Development Council.

The CDA's Community Investment Program revolving loan fund is often available for smaller or secondary loans for new or expanding businesses in Claremont. A loan application (this form has been sent to SilverTech) is filled out and reviewed by the Finance Committee of the CDA for suitability for the program. If it is approved by the Finance Committee, the full board of the CDA will vote on the proposal at their next scheduled meeting.

Capital Resource Development Council will review requests referred by the City for a number of different primary loan programs. In many cases they will partner with the CDA on a financial package for eligible businesses.

The State of New Hampshire has established an incentive program for job growth and expansion that may be available to new or expanding businesses in Claremont. The City has designated a large section of River Road, including the two city industrial parks, Syd Clarke and Ashley's Landing, and the Riverbend Industrial Park as CROP zones. Pending state approval of this designation, lots and businesses in those areas would be eligible to apply for CROP tax credits. NH Community Reinvestment and Opportunity Zones (CROP).

Please contact the Planning and Development office for further information on any of these financial programs.
